How Song•Sense uses AI

Song•Sense is an AI-powered app. Song search, voice input and song analyses (summary, key lines, context, links) are generated by artificial intelligence using OpenAI models (GPT-4o, GPT-4o-mini and Whisper). AI-generated content is labeled in the app and marked machine-readably in our API responses. AI output can contain errors — always verify important facts independently.

What data is processed

When you search, your search text (song and artist names) is sent to OpenAI to generate results. When you use voice search, your audio recording is sent to OpenAI's Whisper API for transcription and is not stored by us. We log search queries, selected songs and anonymous usage events, and cache generated analyses in our database to reduce repeated AI calls.

Processors and recipients
  • OpenAI (USA) — processes search queries and voice recordings to generate results. Data transfer to the USA takes place under OpenAI's Data Processing Addendum, including the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
  • Database provider (Neon / Supabase) — stores usage logs and cached song analyses.
  • Hosting provider — serves the app and processes technical connection data (IP address, browser data).
Intended purpose

Song•Sense analyzes songs — not people. It is intended for cultural and entertainment purposes only. It is not intended for, and must not be used for, evaluating, scoring or making decisions about natural persons (e.g. grading, screening or profiling).
